The Welsh Menu Live in Swansea 2013

The Welsh Menu Live Food Festival returns to Swansea this August bringing some of the best of local and regional Welsh produce to the City Centre.

This free event will cater for families and food lovers alike, with opportunities to try, buy and learn about local produce in this fun filled festival on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August.

Last year’s successful Street Food and Entertainment Zone, Sound Bites, is back in Castle Square, sponsored by Swansea BID and the popular Chef’s Unplugged programme of demonstrations will return with tastings and skills demonstrations.

Junior Foodies are being catered for with hands on activities and workshops held in association with Swansea Market and the Welsh Menu Food Theatre in Princess Way will host a series of live cooking demonstrations by local and national chefs.

Amongst the highlights of the 2 day event will be a cooking demonstration by Chef and TV food presenter Matt Tebbutt. Matt, of The Foxhunter, Nantyderry, is a co-presenter of Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped and makes regular appearances on BBC2’s Great British Food Revival. He will also be signing copies of his new book “Matt Tebbutt’s Guilty Pleasures” which was published on July 4th.

The Welsh Menu Live is served up by Figleaf Media in association with City & County of Swansea and with sponsorship from Swansea BID. The festival is free to attend and will be open from 10am – 5pm on both days.
